Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council Scholarship 2010

Introduction

Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council (MREPC) is an agency under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities that facilitates the export of quality rubber products worldwide. The MREPC Scholarship Fund seeks to attract and retain top talent in the rubber products industry. The Fund will provide opportunities for qualified, high performing candidates to further their education in areas of interest to the rubber products industry.

Fields of Study

  • Engineering – chemical, mechanical, electrical/electronic, industrial
  • Polymer technology
  • Environmental studies
  • Marketing/Business studies/Statistical analysis

Eligibility

  • You must be a Malaysian citizen and be a full time student
  • You must have outstanding academic results in STPM or equivalent
  • Active participation in extracurricular activities or community service will be an advantage
  • You are currently in an undergraduate study programme or have already in receipt of an offer of admission into a degree programme commencing Jan/Feb 2011
  • Not be in receipt of any other scholarship, financial aid or award from any institutions, or any other organizations or foundations
  • Provide two credible guarantors

Value of Scholarship

  • Tuition fees for related undergraduate programmes at IPTA and IPTS
  • Accommodation and living expenses
  • Internship opportunities, while studying, with rubber products companies
  • Employment opportunities upon graduation, which includes a compulsory bond to serve the industry for 3 – 5 years
