Overview
The Sunway Chinese Independent Schools ECA-Undergraduate Scholarship is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in academic and extra-curricular activities (ECA). It is based on academic merits and ECA performance of students sitting for the 2011 UEC examination.
Entitlement
Successful candidates will be awarded 30% or 50% tuition fee waiver for their undergraduate studies in Sunway University or Sunway College. (Applicable to February and March 2012 intakes only)
Eligibility
This scholarship is open to all Malaysian or international students who are studying in the Chinese Independent Schools in Malaysia and sitting for the 2011 Unified Examination Certificate (UEC). The following requirements must be met:
- Currently holds or have held positions of responsibility in school or in extra-curricular activities such as sports, societies, clubs or uniformed bodies. Competition winners at various levels are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent results in the Senior Middle II Mid-term & final examinations and Senior Middle III Mid- term examination.

Application Procedure
- Obtain a Sunway Chinese Independent Schools ECA-Undergraduate Scholarship application form from your school counsellor or download the PDF form from the bottom of this page.
- Complete the application form with the required documents:
- 1 passport-sized photograph
- Certified True Copy of your school results (Senior Middle II leading up to your Senior Middle III mid-year results)
- Certified True Copy of your IC
- Certified copies of relevant Extra-curricular Activities & awards certificates.

by 5.00pm on Friday, 29th July 2011. Late applications will not be considered.
We encourage early applications to avoid missing out on this opportunity.
- If you are shortlisted, a letter and an e-mail will be sent to you by 15th August 2011 stating the date and venue of your interview at the location nearest to you.
- You will be required to attend an interview (in English) with the representatives of the scholarship committee between 5th ~15th September 2011.
- If your application is successful, you will receive a congratulatory letter and scholarship acceptance form by the end of September. All candidates must send back the scholarship acceptance form to Sunway by 5.00pm on Friday, 7th October 2011, to confirm your acceptance of the scholarship offer.
- After the release of UEC results, if your results meet our course entry requirements (not failing any UEC subjects), all scholars must post back to us their completed programme application form along with their certified true copy of UEC results, SPM results (if applicable), school leaving certificates, and RM 600 application and registration fee to Sunway by 5.00pm on Monday, 2nd January 2012.
